Summary

According to Linda Toll in her article, "Music therapy as stroke therapy," music therapy has a good effect on stroke patients. First, music connects with the brain, so it is especially good for stroke patients. For this reason, music therapy allow them to get better feeling and to adapt themselves to the social circumstance. Moreover, recently it shows that music therapy is getting better united with traditional therapy to stroke patients. Nonetheless, some scientists say that music therapy and people's emotion can't connect with each other exactly. However, some people agree with music therapy's ability through their experiments including Nayak. In conclusion, music therapy has wonderful influence on patients, especially brain problem patient.

Reaction

When I was in university, I made a presentation about prenatal music. Actually, after I gave the presentation, I thought about my future job. My father is a pastor. His focus is old people. Therefore, I wanted to help his work, so I wanted to be a music therapist. At that time, when I said my opinion, he respected my opinion. However, he said that "you can also help me by piano performance." For this reason, I have been studying here. After I finish CESL, I want to study my major at SIU. In addition, after I finish at SIU, I want to help my father's work by piano performance and music therapy. In conclusion, I didn't know the musical benefits exactly. However, after I read this article, I know about music therapy's importance. I think that music is the best present from God! I love my major!

Journal Question #4-My major and vision.

My major is to play the piano. When I was 11years old, I accompanied in church. My father is a pastor in Korea. I thought that I just wanted to help my father by accompaniment and liked to accompany in church.However, when I was high school, my parents want to major piano.Actually, at that time, it was the most important time to me because I had to think about my future. I hestitated as to whether I shall undertake it or not. However, I wanted to be a wonderful and nice daughter to my parents, so I started to learn from an expert. When I was very hard to study the piano, I have thought to give up, but I always think my parents's love!.I have some vision. I want be a professor, so I want to help someone who doesn't have money, but they want to learn playing piano. In addition, I want to perform the piano for God's glory. I want to live God's center in my life. My parents always tell to me that we have to live for God!.

Journal Question#4- the strangest food.

I've eaten unforgettable food. When I was university school, I went to Venezia in Italy. In there I treated from friend's teacher. Have you ever heard about anchovy pizzaes? Actually, I hate salty food. I think these pizzaes are only flour and salty anchovies. What is worse this pizza was really~~~salty pizza. I didn't eat a little bit however, i should eat this pizza because I treated this pizza. So, I didn't say anything and I just swallowed whole...ㅜㅜ I don't forget anchovy pizzaes. If you have chance, you never eat it. As soon as you eat, you will regret!. However, it was unforgettable new experience.

Summary

According to Bryan Smitty in his article, "How playing piano by ear helps you become a better piano player, "you can be wonderful pianist by ear. First, if you perform the piano without playing the piano by ear, you can perform the piano with ambiance. However, when you play the piano, you should perform by ear. Actually, the author says, your performance skill will be more complete. Next, people think that playing the piano by ear is difficult, but it is easy. You had better learn about playing by ear. It isn't complex. In conclusion, when you perform the piano, you should play the piano by ear.

Reaction

Why did I choose this article? Actually, i am satisfied with this title. When i first looked at this article, i didn't know that this is a little advertisement. However, this fact was no problem to me, because this article was good for me and it is important for a pianist. When i was young, i didn't know about that. I just thought that a good pianist was one who has good skills to read works and has good techniques. That fact was my mistake. The good performance comes from playing by ear. When someone performs their works, they should listen to their own music by their own ear. Actually, when i pratice piano, i sometimes forget about it. This article reminded me about it. Again, i decided that I want to be a pianist who touches people's hearts.

Actually, i've never thought about how on my epitaph it will be written.
However, this time could think about it. Everyone may want to retain nice person to others, also too. Almost of people usually think that there is a crowd of people in the funeral, the man lived a good life, but it is not, the man lived a bad life. When we live in our life, that is also important t our life. I am a christian. Therefore, i want to live wonderful life in the God! Also, i want to live that the center of my life is the God! Moreover, Iwant to be a written on my gravestone that she lived for the God, she was a pianist who touched people's heart, and we will not forget your everything! Almost of people are afraid of dying, but many christians are not afraid of dying because they believe the heaven, also too.

How do you feel about violent media of teens?

Many people argue against the violent media, because it affects young boys, so about the violent media. We have a lot of opinions. Some people think that it s no problem because violent young boys are natural. The others think that it is serious because we can see a lot of violent young boys because they are affected by violent media. I think that the violent media affect young boys. They still don't have perspective, so they behave without judgement. Therefore, parents should talk interest in their children. These days , parents are busy, so their children are bored because they have a lot of time, so children enjoy games such as violent games or videos. Ithink that parents can be good teachers or good freiends. As a result, they can have a good relationship with each other.

Journal Question2-Eating dog

Some countries have been opposed about eating dog.However, several countries are eaten as food such as japan,china, and france etc. Eating dog has been a korean tradition for a long time,but It is argued because they think it is barbarous culture.I think they who don't understand of cultural relativity. Eating dog is culture. Either eating dog or horse is just difference of their own food culture. About eating dog has misunderstanding. They think eating dog and pet are same,but it is different. People who think eating dog very barbarous in absolute opinion must recognize variety of culture. Culture doesn't change easily.
